Sustainable devel​opment and revitalization of waterfront areas is essential for economic growth and resurgence of shoreline communities.  BayLand offers comprehensive services for marine infrastructure projects including civil, coastal, structural, and mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines. We provide a full range of technical services including existing facility assessments, feasibility studies, new facility planning; and permitting, design and construction management for all marine work.  Projects include reconfiguration of community, municipal and commercial marinas; new marina development; improved waterfront access including beaches, natural areas and river walks; waterfront structures including revetments, bulkheads and seawalls; nonstructural shoreline protection including living shorelines; piers and boat ramps; water taxi and ferry landings; dredging and navigation improvements.​

Anne Arundel County, Maryland
BayLand performed engineering, design and construction procurement services for a new 107-slip community marina, which was designed as a floating dock system.  The design was developed to provide either a concrete or aluminum floating dock system, in order to identify and select the best value construction proposal for the community.

Harford County, Maryland
BayLand provided planning, permitting, design and construction management for major upgrades to this waterside park facility.  Project elements included dredging, boat ramp upgrades, ADA accessible launch docks, 300 LF of bulkhead replacement, parking area improvements, 150-foot fishing pier, transient boat docking area, 750 LF of imbricated stone revetment, landscape plantings and stormdrain improvements.

BayLand provided the planning, permitting, design, construction management and inspection for the construction of observation decks, pedestrian walkways, a gazebo and boardwalk, handicap accessible trails and parking, ramps, fishing piers and boat docking facilities.
Town of Vienna Riverwalk
Dorchester County, Maryland
BayLand provided field investigation, planning, design, sediment sampling, prepared construction specifications and provided bidding services for over 800 feet of shoreline improvements.  Project elements incuded floating piers, dockage, boardwalks, stone sill with sand fill, bulkheads and over 14,000 square feet of marsh grass plantings.
City of Havre de Grace Waterfront Promenade
Harford County, Maryland
BayLand designed and managed the reconstruction of the 1,500 LF Promenade after it was partially destroyed by Hurricane Isabel.  BayLand planned the construction phase and coordinated the work with County, City, FEMA, permitting agencies, local carpenters union, subcontractors, National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) and other volunteers from the community.

Talbot County, Maryland

The project consists of the construction of four launch ramps, fixed piers with wingwalls, a floating center pier and associated parking lot resurfacing.  BayLand completed the design and provided construction support services.
