Broadwater Creek Public Notice

The Water and Science Administration is reviewing the following application for a State Wetlands License and a Water Quality Certification (25-WL-0137, 25-WQC-0027, 25-WL-0155 & 25-WL-0156). ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS at 2662 Riva Road, Annapolis, MD 21401 has applied to perform mechanical maintenance, dredging of the main channel of Broadwater Creek and maintenance with new dredging of two spur channels and authorize one boat lift. The dredged material shall be deposited at one of the four approved upland disposal sites: the Downs Park Amphitheater (23-WL-0757), Idlewilde DMP Site at Idlewilde Road, Shady Side, MD 20764, or South County DMP Site at Sudley Road, West River, MD 20778, or the South County Coastal Resiliency Site (24-WL-0416).  Mitigation may be required as payment into the Tidal Wetlands Compensation Fund for new impacts to shallow water habitat.
